TRUMPF Tool Grinding Machine

Effective maintenance of punching tools significantly influences the punching quality and life of the tools.

With the TRUMPF tool grinding machine, quicksharp, you can resharpen your punching tools professionally at any time. The complete enclosure of the quicksharp permits operation in direct periphery of the sheet metal working center.

The automatic grinding cycle allows regrinding of the punching tools by the operator, for example, during the operation of the CNC sheet metal working system. A highly exact regrind is achieved by the sturdy construction and precise column guide as well as by sharpening using the wet qrindinq process with a boron qrindinq wheel. By using this process, burning marks or spots which reduce the hardness and effect the structure of the tool material and often lead to cracks on the cutting edges, are avoided.

The use of boron grinding wheels produces a surface quality which is 5 times better than the quality obtained by conventional grinding wheels and, therefore, eliminates edge build-up.

The machine design allows surface grinding on punching tools (punches and dies) and other tools according to the technical specification description in our quotation. The amount of regrind can be infinitely variably adjusted.
